About Melissa

This is Momo. He’s here because I love him and sometimes you will see him in the office. He’s a bit anxious and skittish, loving and determined, always up for a challenge and sometimes needs to be given permission to rest or encouraged to try new things.

I am everything Momo is and more. I think you are too.

I’m making an assumption you want to know why I’m a therapist?

I became a therapist because my life was built on helping others sort out their needs. Even though the majority of this behavior was survival, I was damn good at it. Still am. But today I’m good at it because it’s my choice, not a necessary protector and way to move in the world.

I think it’s important for you to know that I have my own therapist. I believe in talking and expressing…I cannot live in a world where I don’t allow myself to express aloud.

I have been in group therapy. Relationally it’s been one of the most effective ways to reflect on yourself behaviorally and how you give and receive in relationships.

I have experienced ketamine-assisted psychotherapy. Not everything can be healed through words. Sometimes the brain and body need support to reach new levels of depth.

What I’m saying is…I work my ass off to be who I want to be in this world. And I train extensively to be able to offer this option to you as well.
